Emma recently starred in Nicholas Collura's bittersweet short, Mother & Child. Filmed on location in Rhode Island, the film is about a "distraught single mother (Amy Hoerler) who withdraws from society to an empty and abandoned beach house seemingly at the edge of the world, where her young daughter (Emma), growing increasingly alienated by her mother’s brooding angst, begins to receive visions of an angel." Premiered April 28, 2007 at the Whitney Humanities Center auditorium at Yale.
