It has been an incredibly busy summer!!! The summer began with the production of "Hairspray". I was Velma Von Tussel. We had an awesome time and a great cast. I made some really good friends.
I got a summer internship at an All-Girls Advertising Agency called "3iying" on Prince St. in NYC. I went to NYC once every other week to their offices. I contributed to a "Veet" and "Crayola" campaign. And, now that my internship is over, I will be able to be an ongoing freelance contributor.
In between that I went to a couple of weeks of Basketball camp, a musical theater camp, and I went away to Canada with my Mom and Dad. I also saw a couple of Broadway shows.
I will finish out my summer by starring as Diana Morales in "Chorus Line", in which I have rehearsed all summer for. This role has been a great experience, in that I have been able to showcase my dancing abilities as well as my voice and acting capabilities.
All in all, my summer has been very busy with new and exciting opportunities.
School starts on Thursday, and I'm off to a new school, and seventh grade!!!
Stay tuned for what happens in the next coming months.......

Wow, it's been awhile.......and many things have been happening. Shoreline Stars presented it's 11th show "High School Musical" and I played Sharpay. I do "Believe in Dreamin' and Shooting for the Stars"
In between that show and the one I'm currently getting ready for "Hairspray", I'm Velma...is there a pattern here? I was fortunate enough to be cast in a performance with Connecticut Family Theatre in "Pinocchio". I was part of the ensemble cast. It was a great experience to meet new performers and work with Jerry Goehring.
This summer will bring lots of auditions and a musical theatre camp.
Stay posted........

The Song
I turn the knob slowly
The volume crescendos into an elevated and lively sound.
I hear angels harmoniously singing the soothing melody.
I can see them.
Their glowing halos shine and their graceful arms carry out the magical tune that
Fills my ears with sweet, pure joy.
I can feel their golden hair graze me as each distinct
Note drops down to me in perfect rhythm.
Their delicate wings fly them.
They play their instruments; tranquil and calming; but with a merry feel.
Suddenly , the chorus of Saints dies down their voices
And the last key of the piano is struck,
Sending my happiness to a distant place,
Never to reach me until the angels return
With the song.

The weekend of Nov. 16th-18th, Emma and her mom spent in Brooklyn and Queens shooting a film for Gillian Arthur from NYU, called "Coloring Time". Emma played the character"Rita".
Rita is a vivacious, adventurous, young girl who wants to hold onto her imagination. She runs away to avoid growing up, but in doing so she runs away from a chance to connect with those around her. In a moment of need she is lost because she doesn't know how to connect. Rita returns home, seeing it as the only place to find help and instead returns to an empty house. Her real life situation forces a maturity on her that allows little room for the imagination she seeks to hold onto.
This was an exciting shoot for Emma. She got to film in beautiful "Prospect Park" in Brooklyn, and she finished the shoot by doing her first crying scene, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a thrill, and very emotional.
She had a great experience with this film. Everybody was really nice and very professional.
She'll be going back into New York for voice-overs for the film. So stay tuned for the completion date.
